Free public beta · Android

RunVault

A Korea-first running app. It records your runs, brings in your watch and health data, turns your history into training-load and recovery insights, and has an AI coach that cites its evidence.

모든 러닝은 자산이 된다

The beta is free and distributed as an APK you install directly; it is not on Google Play or any other app store. There is no iOS version. The app is in Korean by default, with an English option.

What the app does

Everything in the five cards below is in the current Android beta. Items marked Beta depend on a third-party connection or service that is still being tested. The list after the cards shows what is not in the beta.

Record

Every run compounds. 모든 러닝은 자산이 된다

  • GPS recording, 5 activity typesRuns, trail runs, hikes and backpacking with phone GPS, or a treadmill run where you enter the distance.
  • Spoken km updatesA voice announces each kilometre (every 0.5 km on trails and hikes) and lowers your music while it speaks.
  • Run goalsSet a distance, time or pace goal, watch your progress, and hear when you reach it.
  • Personal bests and milestonesYour fastest 5K, 10K, half and full marathon from whole activities, a celebration when you set a new record, and a dated timeline of milestones such as your first 5K and 100 km total.
  • VaultEvery run is saved with its map, splits and analysis. Weekly totals run Monday to Sunday.
  • Share cards and photo overlayShare a run card, or a photo with distance, pace and time on top, through Android share.
  • Routine remindersWeekly reminders you set yourself, as local notifications that work offline.

Import

Bring the data you already have.

  • Health ConnectRead-only import of workouts, heart rate, resting HR, HRV, sleep stages, steps, calories, SpO2, respiration and body temperature. Covers Samsung Health, Polar and others.
  • .FIT and .GPX filesFrom COROS, Garmin and other watches: share a file to RunVault, pick one, or choose a folder that is re-checked automatically.
  • Strava connection BetaConnect your Strava account to bring in activities (time and distance summaries).
  • Suunto connection BetaConnect a Suunto account through Suunto's official cloud API.
  • Running dynamics from watch filesWhen an imported FIT file contains them: pace and heart-rate zones, cadence, ground contact time, vertical oscillation, stride, power and laps.

Watch data arrives after the workout. There is no watch app, and the phone does not measure running dynamics itself.

Understand

See beyond pace. 페이스 너머를 봅니다

  • Training load and fitness / fatigue / formAn acute-to-chronic load ratio (sweet spot 0.85–1.35) and a Banister fitness/fatigue/form chart. Heart rate is optional; a watch makes it more precise.
  • Recovery trendA 7-day average of HRV (lnRMSSD) when a wearable provides it, falling back to sleep and resting heart rate.
  • Race time prediction5K to marathon shown as a range from several models (Riegel, personal exponent, Cameron, VDOT, Critical Speed).
  • Workout type detectionEasy, long, interval, tempo or recovery. With too little data, the app says so instead of guessing.
  • Heart-rate zones with a threshold estimateThreshold heart rate and pace from the last 4 weeks, shown next to %max-HR zones so you can see why they differ from your watch.
  • Insight Lab and knowledge graphA six-axis running signature, a load-recovery plane, and a visual map linking your runs, spots, recovery and running friends.

Routes

Your routes tell a story. 당신의 코스는 이야기를 남깁니다

  • 14 curated courses7 along the Han River in Seoul (Yeouinaru, Banpo, Jamsil and others) and 7 on Geoje Island, with distance, elevation and nearby amenities.
  • Region picker across KoreaBrowse by province, city or district, then hub. Runs are tagged to an area automatically.
  • Signature tracks and leaderboardsAfter a run, see whether you ran a signature track and your rank, a personal record, or that you were the first.
  • Community spotsFind and add running spots such as photo points, water, toilets and views, with photos and reviews.
  • Nearby toilets and water fountainsThe closest public facilities on an in-app map, from Korean public open data.
  • Running weatherCurrent local weather from Open-Meteo with a plain-language note on running conditions.

Outside the Han River and Geoje, the app relies on community spots and signature tracks.

Crew

Community built on progress. 성장 위에 세워진 커뮤니티

  • Crews, challenges, feed and eventsJoin or create running crews, run crew challenges with leaderboards, post with photos, and browse events.
  • Friends and direct messagesFollow friends, find contacts who already use the app (only hashed emails and phone numbers are sent), and chat one-to-one.
  • Report and blockReport content or block users, and manage your blocked list.
  • Sign-inGoogle, Kakao or an email code, or use the app as a guest.

Not in the beta

  • An iOS version, or any app store listing (App Store or Google Play). The only channel is the Android beta APK.
  • A direct COROS account link. It is built but switched off until COROS approves the partnership; COROS users can import .FIT files.
  • Apple and Naver sign-in.
  • Watch apps for Wear OS or Apple Watch.

The AI coach Beta, and how it stays in bounds

Ask about your training in text or by voice. Answers draw on your own run records and cited sports-science sources. During the beta, each month includes 20 free coach questions.

Guardrails in the server

  • Built to avoid diagnosis or prescription. In both Korean and English, statements that diagnose or prescribe are rewritten into neutral wording with advice to see a professional.
  • Evidence on every answer. Each answer must carry at least three evidence items, so you can see what it is based on.

Your choice

  • Opt out of AI in the Privacy Center.
  • Withdraw the coach's access to your data at any time.
  • Separate consent for overseas transfer of personal data, because coach requests are processed by language-model providers outside Korea through Cloudflare AI Gateway.

Not medical advice. The coach gives general training guidance. For pain, injury or any health concern, see a medical professional.

Privacy and data controls

The Privacy Center in the app is a working set of controls, not just a link to a policy.

In the Privacy Center

  • Export your data as JSON (everything), CSV (activity summary) or GPX (tracks).
  • Delete your account in the app, with a 14-day grace period you can cancel.
  • Pause or resume data collection on your account.
  • Separate consents for personal data (required), location, health data, overseas transfer and marketing push.
  • View a snapshot of the data held about you.
  • AI opt-out and withdrawal of the coach's data access.

By design

  • Location is used in two ways. During a recording, it comes from a foreground service with a visible notification. Outside a recording, screens such as Run, Routes and Crew read your current position when you open them, to show nearby courses, spots, crews and weather. The app does not request background location.
  • Health Connect access is read-only. The app declares no write permissions.
  • Contact matching sends only SHA-256 hashes of emails and phone numbers, never plain text.
  • You can disconnect Strava, Suunto or Health Connect and delete imported activities.
  • Blocked users are managed in settings.

Third parties that process data for the app: Firebase (push notifications, crash reports, phone-number verification), Mapbox (maps), Kakao (sign-in, map links, place and address lookup), Open-Meteo (weather), and language-model providers reached through Cloudflare AI Gateway (coach). Read the full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Built on Cloudflare

The app backend (API, database, file storage and the coach's model gateway) runs on Cloudflare's developer platform, on custom domains under lazy-mac.com.

  • WorkersThe app API (rv-api.lazy-mac.com), an admin console, a sign-in broker, and a distribution Worker that serves the Android beta APK.
  • D1The production database, shared by the API and the sign-in broker, plus separate staging and dev databases for the broker.
  • R2Two buckets: one for user data exports, one for photos and profile pictures.
  • AI GatewayRoutes the coach's external language-model calls through one gateway.
  • Workers AIA fallback model for the coach.
  • Workers KVState storage for the sign-in broker.
  • Rate LimitingRequest limits on the API, on coach requests, and on admin login.
  • Analytics EngineEvent metrics written by the API.
  • Cron TriggersScheduled jobs on the API (daily and every 15 minutes) and the sign-in broker (daily).
